 Description |
The house is a beautifully restored trullo and lamia (traditional stone building) sleeping up to 10 comfortably.
It is half way between two typical Italian towns
(San Michele Salentino and Latiano)
both of which are charming and offer all the facilities of shops, restaurants, pizzerias and cafes.
The Adriatic coast is a mere 15min drive.
For those wishing to explore the area,
the house is ideally situated.
Ostuni, the famous “white city” is 15mins drive.
Lecce, the Florence of the South, is less than an hour away and Martina Franca with its famous annual music festival
is about 45mins drive.
A trip to try (or buy) the renowned wine of Manduria
– Primitivo Manduria – takes about half an hour.
Puglian cuisine is renowned for its freshness and flavour and the opportunities to sample it are endless.
All the nearby towns offer a good selection of places to eat, but in particular Ceglie Messapica (about 15mins drive)
offers a great selection of restaurants, including some with Michelin stars.
Alberobello, as well as being a world heritage site because of its “trullo village”, also boasts a Michelin starred restaurant.
For days when all you want to do is relax,
the lovely gardens and courtyard of the house provide an ideal setting for lazy days and sunbathing.
